Back to school means back on the bus!

Thanks to community partners, we want to recognize TSC bus drivers who go above and beyond for our students. Know a driver who goes the extra mile? Nominate them for the Extra Mile Award. All nominees are entered into a monthly random drawing and our first award of the school year will be presented next week.

September BGM Buzz

September is a great time to settle into the school year, build strong routines, and celebrate all that makes our Tomahawk community special! This month, students will have opportunities to learn, connect, and get involved through fun activities, including College GO Week, spirit days, and engaging school events. Thank you to our families for partnering with us to make attendance, involvement, and student success a priority. We are excited for a fantastic September at BGM!

BGM Counselor Classroom Presentations

October is national bullying prevention month. In preparation for this, Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Shockley will be visiting health and wellness classrooms in September to go over bullying prevention, incident reporting procedures, and conflict resolution. If you have any questions or wish to know more about the presentations, please reach out to Mrs. Smith or Mrs. Shockley and they are happy to discuss.



Attendance Information

Every school day matters! Regular attendance helps students stay connected, keep up with learning, and build the habits they need for success. Reminder-the BGM Office hours are from 8:00am-4:30pm. Please note that calls after 4:30pm will be returned the next day. Finally, if you need to pick up your student early, please do so by 3:45pm due to buses. Thanks for your attention to this!

Pop Tab Collection for Ronald McDonald House Charities

BGM was recently recognized for collecting over 1 million pop tabs during the 25-26 school year. This year, we hope to surpass that number! Our first quarter collection date is October 13th. Students should turn in tabs to their Tomahawk Time teacher (or they can be dropped off at the main office). The Tomahawk Time (TT) classes that collect the most pop tabs will earn:

🥇1st place- Ice Cream sandwich party outside/gym during TT

🥈2nd place- Tomahawk Time in outside/gym during TT

College GO Week!

College GO Week is a fun and exciting celebration that helps students explore their future possibilities through college-themed trivia, dress-up days, and activities designed to inspire them to think about life after high school.

Don’t forget tomorrow is the last day to turn in Tomahawk Spirit Club applications. If you’re looking for a fun club that will help plan school spirit days, pep sessions and help pump up the student section at sporting events- this club is for you! It’s open to all 7th and 8th graders. If you have questions, please reach out to Mrs. Fitzgerald.

Join German Klub

Is your student interested in learning a little German language and culture? Students from Harrison High School’s National German Honor Society and their teachers Frau Beck and Herr Spina invite your student once again to join German Klub! We will visit Battle Ground Middle School twice per month on Thursdays after school to lead fun activities about German language and culture.

The club is free of charge and open to all BGMS students, regardless of grade or prior experience with German.

Meeting Time: Every other Thursday, right after school until 5:15 PM
Transportation: Parents are responsible for arranging pick-up at 5:15 PM
