City of West Palm Beach Housing & Community Development Enhancing the quality of life of West Palm Beach residents through housing, community services, and neighborhood support.

Coleman Park Renaissance is more than an affordable housing development. It is an investment in people, history, and the future of one of West Palm Beach’s most historic neighborhoods.

Rooted in a resident-led vision, this $21.5 million development brings 43 affordable apartments and approximately 4,000 square feet of affordable commercial space to the North Tamarind Avenue corridor. The project creates housing opportunities for families, seniors, individuals with special needs, and other residents affected by rising housing costs.

Made possible through City of West Palm Beach SHIP funding, land contributions, and collaboration among public, private, nonprofit, philanthropic, and community partners, Coleman Park Renaissance demonstrates what can be accomplished when a community works together.

The project reflects the collective efforts of Coleman Park residents and neighborhood leaders; Neighborhood Renaissance, Inc.; The City of West Palm Beach; Palm Beach County; M&T Bank; Wells Fargo; the Lost Tree Foundation; Palm Beach County Housing and Economic Development; U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Developmentt; Florida Housing Finance Corporation; Raymond James; TD; Quantum Foundation; Palm Beach County Housing Authority; Third Federal; and other community stakeholders.

Watch how this community-driven partnership transformed vacant properties into homes, expanded economic opportunity, and helped keep families and legacies rooted in Coleman Park.

Today, Lucia can enjoy something simple but meaningful: relaxing with a good book in the comfort and quiet of her own home. 📖

Over the weekend, FAMU Extension - West Palm Beach proudly participated in the grand opening of the Coleman Park Green Market. The market was created to provide residents of Coleman Park and surrounding communities with greater access to fresh fruits and vegetables at affordable prices. The Green Market will be held twice monthly on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

During the event, the Extension team distributed grow kits to encourage community members to start gardens at home and take an active role in growing their own fresh produce.

Special thanks to the organizing sponsors, Quantum Foundation, Eat Better Live Better, RISE Coleman Park and Cleveland Clinic, for their dedication to increasing access to healthy foods and supporting community wellness. Their partnership helped make this exciting community initiative a success.

The Coleman Park Green Market represents an important step toward promoting healthy living, food access, and community empowerment for local residents.
