The City of West Palm Beach will hold the next round of public hearings for the Downtown Master Plan Update.

The upcoming meetings will be held in the City Commission Chambers at West Palm Beach City Hall, 401 Clematis Street.
🗓️ Downtown Action Committee: Wednesday, September 9 at 9 a.m.
🗓️ Planning Board: Tuesday, September 15 at 6 p.m.

Downtown residents, businesses, property owners, and community stakeholders are encouraged to attend, learn more about the proposed updates, and stay informed.

Local small business owners are invited to participate in the Brand Lift Series, a free, hands-on branding and marketing workshop presented in partnership with the City of West Palm Beach Office of Small Business Programs.

Led by Brittani Millington, Founder of Studio 113, the two-session series will focus on practical ways business owners can strengthen their brands, improve their marketing, and make better use of tools they already have available.

The workshops will take place Wednesday, September 2 and Friday, September 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Flagler Gallery at West Palm Beach City Hall, 401 Clematis Street. Registration is free.

The West Palm Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (WPBcra) has announced the launch of four new mobile CCTV trailers in partnership with the West Palm Beach Police Department .

The portable units will be strategically positioned throughout the Historic Northwest and Downtown districts to support public safety, assist law enforcement, and serve as flexible resources that can be deployed throughout the community. The trailers include high-definition cameras, GPS technology, and public address capabilities.

🏛️ Historic Gazebo Relocation

As work continues at Currie Park, the historic gazebo has been carefully relocated to its new location within the park. Preserving this well-known structure is an important part of the redevelopment, allowing it to remain a recognizable feature while supporting the park’s new layout and improvements.

📍 The gazebo was relocated from the former Currie Park Entrance at the corner of 23rd Street to a new location overlooking the park’s open green space, where it will continue to serve as a gathering place for the community.

📐 Before the relocation, the team completed surveying, site preparation, utility coordination, and detailed planning to ensure the move could be carried out safely and efficiently.

🏗️ Using a heavy-lift crane and specialized equipment, the gazebo was carefully lifted and transported to its new location. The successful relocation reflects the planning and teamwork that went into preserving this historic landmark while keeping the project moving forward.

🌳 As construction continues, the gazebo will remain a familiar feature within the revitalized waterfront park for the community to enjoy.
