It's going to be a crisp fall day today (Wednesday) and what better way to celebrate than a trip to the Mount Airy Farmers Market! The market will be open from 3 to 7 p.m. This is the last opportunity to see some of our vendors for the remainder of the year.

Due to all the rain, we will be moving all vendors to three of the parking lots at Watkins Park, 615 Center St. Two lots in Watkins will be available for parking. You can also park at Parr's Ridge Elementary School after 4:30 p.m. and St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church but please do NOT park on the grass. You can also park in the Railyard (3 N. Main St.) and walk Rails to Trails East for a scenic stroll to the park.

🎡 Westminster FallFest is almost here! 🎡

FallFest returns to Downtown Westminster September 24–27, 2026, bringing four days of rides, games, food, live entertainment, and the annual FallFest Parade.

TRAFFIC IMPACT: Downtown Westminster will experience partial to full road closures in connection with FallFest:

• From September 21–28, 2026, Distillery Drive will be closed from Locust Street to Longwell Avenue.

DURING THE PARADE:

• Pennsylvania Avenue will be closed from Sullivan Avenue to W. Main Street.
• Main Street will be closed from Old New Windsor Road to N. Center Street.

DURING THE THREE-DAY EVENT:

• Longwell Avenue will be closed from E. Main Street to Willis Street.

COMMUNITIES IMPACTED:
Residents and businesses in and around these closure areas should anticipate traffic impacts associated with the parade and FallFest activities. Increased vehicular and pedestrian traffic is also expected throughout the downtown area.

Today (Wednesday) is going to be a great day in Mount Airy because we have two HUGE events happening with lots of activities in Watkins Park, 615 Center St. The Mount Airy Farmers Market will host their regular market from 3 to 7 p.m. while the Mount Airy Police Department - MD has joined forces with us to present Hometown Night from 4 to 9 p.m.

Wednesday will be a wonderful afternoon and evening of community in Watkins Park, 615 Center St. The Mount Airy Farmers Market and the Mount Airy Police Department - MD are partnering together to host Hometown Night.

The market, featuring more than 40 vendors, will be open from 3 to 7 p.m. while the Hometown event runs from 4 to 9 p.m. There will be first responder vehicles, a DJ, community groups and fun activities all evening. There will be giveaways on the police side while the market will have items for purchase.
