At their meeting on June 17th, The Carroll County Workforce Development Board elected it's new slate of officers and recognized the outgoing Board Chair, Zach Tomlin for his service since 2021. The incoming new officers are Chair Bryan Zuber, owner of Stratosphere Social Eldersburg and Vice Chair, Matti Franzén of Best Western - Westminster.

EIDLs are available for working capital needs caused by the disaster and are available even if the small business or PNP did not suffer any physical damage. The loans may be used to pay fixed debts, payroll, accounts payable, and other bills which could not be paid due to the disaster.

SBA Offers Relief to MD & PA Businesses and Private Nonprofits Affected by the Freeze

On Sunday, May 31st a group of about 75 gathered at the Carroll County Farm Museum to dedicate the museums new dining pavilion.

The pavilion is dedicated to memory of the late John T. "Jack" Lyburn, Jr. the long time Director of the Department of Economic Development who passed away in August, 2023.

Jack was a fervent supporter of Carroll County Maryland Tourism, in particular the Farm Museum. He was it's biggest cheerleader and spearheaded many additions and improvements to the museum property over his years with Carroll County Government, including the vision and legwork to build the new pavilion.

It was an honor to be among many of Jack's family, friends and business people from Carroll County and beyond.

Carroll County Economic Development visited Nev-R-Dun Farm north of Westminster. For 25 years, Nev-R-Dun Farm has been a proud producer of organic products. They are certified through the Maryland Department of Agriculture, which requires strict compliance to organic regulations and periodic inspections.

Owner Tom Reinhardt started with a vision of a restaurant which in turn grew into 25 years of nurturing healthy soil and providing fresh, organic fruits, vegetables, and herbs to our community.
