⛳️ THANK YOU, WHIPPANY! What an incredible day yesterday! ☀️

We want to send a massive thank you to everyone who came out to support the 37th Annual Whippany Fire Company Golf Classic yesterday!

As we all know, it wouldn't be a WFD Golf Outing without some serious summer heat—and yesterday certainly didn't disappoint! It was a scorcher out there on the green, but the amazing energy, camaraderie, and competitive spirit made it an absolutely spectacular day from the first drive to the final putt.

Most importantly, yesterday was a phenomenal fundraiser. Because of your incredible generosity, we can continue to serve and protect our community as your local volunteer fire department.

🤝 A Special Shout-Out to Our Major Sponsors!
An event of this size is only possible because of the local businesses that step up to stand behind us. Please join us in giving a huge round of applause to our premier sponsors:

🚒 One Family, One Mission 🚓🚑

What an incredible night at the Chimney Rock Inn in Whippany! Last night, our crew and apparatus stood side-by-side with fellow fire, police, EMS, and sheriff’s departments from all across Morris County.

When we put on our gear, the lines between different patches and badges completely fade away. We are one family. Whether we wear turnouts, a badge, or a medic's uniform, we are united by a single promise: to always have each other’s backs, no matter what.

Events like last night's 200 Club of Morris County membership drive are a beautiful reminder of that bond. It was amazing to see so many first responders and community members coming together under one roof. We are incredibly proud of this brotherhood and sisterhood, and we are so grateful to serve a community that stands right there with us.

❤️ A Huge Thank You!
To Chimney Rock Inn: Thank you for hosting us! The food was excellent, the hospitality was top-notch, and the smiles in these photos say it all.

To The 200 Club: Thank you for being the ultimate safety net for our families. You represent the very best of us.

To Everyone Who Showed Up: Thank you for supporting the organization that has our backs so we can have yours.

If you didn't get a chance to join last night, you can still support the 200 Club and our first responder family today!

Copying a post from our friends at the Byram Twp Fire Department:

⚠️ Generator Safety & Carbon Monoxide Awareness ⚠️

As many residents rely on portable generators during power outages, we want to remind everyone of the serious danger posed by carbon monoxide (CO)—an invisible, odorless, and potentially deadly gas.

Generator Safety Tips:
• Never operate a generator inside your home, garage, basement, crawl space, or any enclosed or partially enclosed area.
• Always place generators outdoors at least 20 feet away from your home, with the exhaust directed away from windows, doors, and vents.
• Make sure your home has working carbon monoxide alarms on every level and outside sleeping areas. Test them regularly.
• If your CO alarm sounds, or anyone in the home experiences symptoms such as headache, dizziness, nausea, weakness, or confusion, leave the home immediately and call 911 from a safe location.

🚒 When in doubt, call the fire department. We’d much rather respond to investigate a possible carbon monoxide issue than have a preventable tragedy occur. There is no such thing as being “too cautious” when it comes to carbon monoxide.

Stay safe, check your detectors, and remember: *Generators belong outside—every time.
