Yesterday, the Whittier Police Department Traffic Bureau conducted a traffic enforcement operation funded by the Cannabis Tax Fund Grant Program (CTFGP). The operation resulted in 135 traffic stops, and 127 citations issued.

Notable enforcement included the impoundment of 2 E-Motorcycles and several speeding citations — two of the fastest involving vehicles traveling 58 mph on Beverly Boulevard at Mavis Avenue and 68 mph on Slauson Avenue at Chetle Avenue.

This morning, the Whittier Police Department SWAT Team assisted Downey PD with the service of a search warrant in the 15600 block of Yermo Street. One adult and one juvenile were arrested regarding a Robbery investigation.

A search of the residence was conducted, and evidence was collected related to the crime.

This past Friday, the WPD Traffic Bureau conducted a traffic enforcement operation funded by the California Office of Traffic Safety. The operation resulted in 115 traffic stops conducted and 104 citations issued. Notable enforcement included several speeding citation involving four vehicles traveling 69 MPH on Lambert Rd at Kibbee Ave, 74 MPH on Beverly Blvd at Mavis Ave, 77 MPH on Colima Rd at Youngwood Dr, and 91 MPH on Colima Rd at Murphy Ranch.
