Eagle Scout candidate Henry Borgen’s project is now complete. We cannot begin to thank Henry, his parents, Mike and Jan, and Boy Scout Troop 56 enough for these incredible vegetable/flower beds. The dedication of Henry from the very beginning through completion of this project has been remarkable. Please stop by the Senior Center to take a look. Thank you again to all involved!

Wilmington’s Senior Center has been designated as a Cooling Center open to all residents of any age for Wednesday 7/1 and Thursday 7/2.

To provide extended support to the community, Senior Center activities will end at 5 PM but the facility will remain open for cooling for any resident until 7 PM.

We encourage anyone needing relief from the heat to stop in to cool off. Please be sure to stay hydrated, cool and check on others. If you have an emergency, please contact 911.
