Wilmington families: there is still time to register for the Middlesex Sheriff's Office Youth Public Safety Academy (YPSA)! This is a free program that runs July 6–10 for Wilmington students ages 8 to 12. Don’t delay as registration closes on June 15 at noon!

The YPSA gives young participants a unique opportunity to meet local police officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and sheriff’s officers while learning important safety and life skills.

Throughout the program, cadets take part in hands-on activities focused on fire safety, emergency preparedness, teamwork, and community engagement.

Hosted at the Middlesex Training Academy in Chelmsford, YPSA helps build positive relationships between youth and public safety professionals while providing valuable lessons that can last a lifetime.

Transportation and lunch are provided.

Scams continue to target people of all ages, making awareness and education more important than ever.

We are pleased to share the attached scam-awareness graphic, which was created by Wilmington High School student Spencer Walker as part of a civics project. Spencer developed this project to help educate community members about common scams and the steps they can take to protect themselves.

We appreciate Spencer's initiative and commitment to public service through this important project. His work aligns with our ongoing efforts to raise awareness about fraud and scam prevention, and we are proud to share it with the community.

Thank you, Spencer, for helping bring attention to this important issue and for contributing to the safety and well-being of our residents.
