We are excited to see some communities in our region on this list!

Commerce has announced over $285,000 of grant funding shared across eight Montana communities. Funding is through the Community Development Block Grant Planning Grant Program and will help awardees plan significant community development projects. Congratulations to:
• Carbon County Montana will receive $35,000 to complete a capital improvement plan.
• Daniels County will receive $35,000 to complete a capital improvement plan.
• Fergus County will receive $15,000 to complete an Area II Agency on Aging plan.
• Meagher County will receive $50,000 to complete an emergency ops plan.
• Prairie County will receive $45,000 to complete economic development strategies.
• Roosevelt County will receive $35,836 to complete a water preliminary engineering report.
• Sheridan County will receive $40,000 to complete a growth policy update.
• Town of Whitehall, Montana will receive $30,000 to complete a growth policy update.

The Small Business Webinar Series starts back up this Thursday, September 3rd, at 11:00 am!

This month’s session will feature Bryan Singer, Native Entrepreneur Development Specialist for the Montana Department of Commerce. He will be presenting on opportunities offered through the Montana Indian Equity Fund.

This series is jointly sponsored by MSU Extension and the Small Business Development Center network and some additional partners. Each month the webinar series features an expert on a topic that is important to many small business owners in Montana. These webinars are free, open to the public and do not require registration. These webinars are 20 to 30 minutes in length and allow time for a Q&A session.

• Malaysia and Indonesia — September 2027

For these planned trade missions, Export Montana may reimburse 75% of eligible mission costs, plus up to $3,000 in travel expenses. A trade mission can provide businesses with a more structured way to explore a new market, instead of trying to navigate it alone.
