Build One SA

Build One SA We are committed to building a nation that is truly ONE in equality, opportunity, and prosperity. Lets Build! Change is upon us.

The old order is crumbling and South Africans are coming together around a plethora of alternatives that may unite into a common values-bound reform movement. Led by Mmusi Maimane, former leader of South Africa’s largest opposition, Build One SA is an umbrella political platform bringing together at least 100 independent candidates from diverse constituencies to contest in the 2024 elections. Led

by Mmusi Maimane, BOSA has elected a ten person executive team that will serve as the organising core team seeking to steer the political platform to a victory in 2024 and beyond. We believe that in a truly non-racial, non-sexist South Africa, abantu express their ubuntu to their family, community and nation through a values based lifestyle and by being accountable (ukuziphendulela) to others. We want to build a political campaign centered around the creation of a national ecosystem for prosperity, which embraces the well-being of workers, professionals, rural communities, youth, holders of capital and civil servants. A critical aspect of a values-based nation is supporting the dignity of all its citizens. How we educate citizens for success and what working environments we create for our citizens will serve as a reflection of the nation we are trying to build. In this regard, our mission is to restore, reform and construct a thriving future for generations to come.

Across Johannesburg, municipal neglect has left vulnerable communities to face severe systemic decay, defined by compromised public safety, lack of basic service delivery, and the virtual absence of proactive law enforcement.

BOSA Deputy leader, MP and Joburg Mayoral candidate, Nobuntu Hlazo-Webster advocates for forward-looking urban planning, reliable service delivery, and strict law enforcement to protect all communities.

Standing shoulder-to-shoulder with neighborhood watches, community leaders, and CPF forums, BOSA is fighting back against Cape Town’s safety crisis. We must build resilient communities, not walls that divide us. A BOSA government will empower the local safety structures already doing the heavy lifting.

Build One SA leader and MP, Dr Mmusi Maimane and Cape Town Mayoral candidate Roger Solomons, alongside BOSA activists, are on the ground demanding an immediate re-evaluation of municipal priorities. While the City has allocated a R120 million budget for a perimeter wall along the N2 to obscure socioeconomic inequality, local communities continue to grapple with a crisis averaging nearly ten murders per day.

This substantial financial resource must be reallocated toward critical public safety infrastructure, including the deployment of 300 additional Metro Police officers, enhanced street lighting, and the active support of local neighborhood watches. True community safety is achieved through direct investment in human security rather than physical barriers.

With a murder occurring every 2.5 hours in Cape Town, the safety of our communities is in a state of emergency. Yet, the City has prioritized a R120 million N2 highway wall over direct, frontline safety interventions.

BOSA demands a redirection of funds towards what works. An investment in real safety: 300 more Metro Police officers, 2,400 CCTV cameras, or 1,200 streetlights.
