Six communities. Six local conversations. One shared message: young people should not only create culture, they should help shape its future. 🎭

Through WB Youth Cultural Fund advocacy activities, young creatives, cultural practitioners, institutions and civil society came together to discuss real challenges, from funding and employment to cultural spaces and stronger support, and turn them into practical recommendations.

Because when young voices are heard, culture moves forward. 💛

📍 Western Balkans Youth Cultural Fund it’s a multi-year RYCO project, financed by the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, designed for cultural practitioners and civic society organizations dealing with youth and culture.

There’s no stopping Youth, Peace and Security across the region! ✨

Through the RYCOgnizing YPS Open Call, our grantee Nisma ARSIS brought young people together for an interactive workshop focused on the communities they want to build communities shaped by inclusion, trust, cooperation, and active participation.

From identifying challenges such as hate, discrimination, exclusion, and misinformation, to proposing practical solutions and taking part in teamwork and trust-building activities, participants strengthened their communication, coordination, creativity, and civic awareness.

Because building more peaceful and inclusive communities starts with giving young people the space to reflect, connect, and take action. 💬🤝

The Western Balkan Youth Cultural Fund Closing Conference in Skopje 📍 brought together young artists, cultural practitioners, civil society organisations, institutions, donors, and regional partners to celebrate the achievements of a programme that placed culture at the heart of dialogue, reconciliation, and regional cooperation.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this initiative a meaningful platform for young people to create, collaborate, and strengthen trust across the Western Balkans.
