SOUTHERN NGALIYA DANCE CAMP PROTOCOLS
Day Visitors
All visitors must register with Jenine.
Visitors must provide organisation details, purpose of visit, length of stay, and whether they are self-sufficient with camp gear and provisions.
Kardiya and Paint-Up / Dancing
Respect ceremonial paint-up, singing, and dancing processes.
Social conversations must take place away from ceremonial areas.
Do not attend for the purpose of participating in paint-up or dancing.
Do not ask Women for permission to join; participation occurs by invitation only.
Kardiya and Other Camp Activities
Support women and girls to participate; do not distract from activities.
This includes girls’ dance sessions, Jukurrpa storytelling, and day trips—assist where appropriate.
Videography / Photography
All photography and videography require prior approval and permissions.
No recording of ceremonial activities unless explicitly authorised.
