The first day of Spring and the weather is improving. Perhaps you will be encouraged to spend more time outside with a good book and a cool drink. Here are some new books processed in the library today.

Please note the Library will be closed on Saturday 5th September for the Daffodil and Camellia Spring Flower Show. Normal opening hours will start on Tuesday 8th September.

A reminder that you have a lovely local community library available in Claremont. We are open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 11am - 1pm on the corner of Bilton St and Main Rd. Membership cost is $10 per year. Come and visit us and check out our range of Adult fiction novels and a small selection of non-fiction. Great for staying home in this wet weather.

A huge congratulations to our Library Co-Ordinator Jan Southorn for being nominated in 3 categories in the recent Glenorchy City Council 2026 Community and Volunteer Awards. The categories nominated in were Senior Citizen of the Year, Local Hero, and Voluntary Contribution to the City of Glenorchy and the local community. Jan was one of the original founding members of the library over 20 years ago. We are thankful to our wonderful Volunteers for their commitment and hard work but especially Jan who leads the team with great support from her family.
