Council is looking for someone to drive our recycling collection truck and help out at our recycling facilities.

This role includes:
🚛 Driving the recycling truck collecting kerbside bins
♻️ Helping at the recycling centre when not on collection runs
🧹 Keeping your truck clean and well maintained
👷 Working independently and as part of a small team

You’ll need a current MR licence and be comfortable working on your own for much of the day. You’ll also need some flexibility, as recycling collections can fall on public holidays.

Have you previously worked for Warrumbungle Shire Council as a Pool Attendant?

Council is inviting Expressions of Interest from former Pool Attendants interested in returning for the 2026/27 pool season.

Positions are available across our aquatic facilities in:
📍 Baradine
📍 Binnaway
📍 Coonabarabran
📍 Coolah
📍 Dunedoo
📍 Mendooran

The pool season is expected to commence in October 2026, with some preparation work potentially available from September 2026.

⚠️ This Expression of Interest is only open to applicants who have previously worked for Warrumbungle Shire Council as a Pool Attendant.

TEMPORARY OFFICE LOCATION – COOLAH COUNCIL ADMINISTRATION
The Coolah Administration Building, including the Service NSW Agency and Warrumbungle Community Care office, will remain closed until Sunday, 21 June 2026.

Remediation works are continuing to address the rising damp issue affecting the building. Subject to the successful completion of these works and final testing, it is anticipated that the building will reopen during June 2026.

In the meantime, Council remains operational under its Business Continuity Plan, with services continuing to be delivered from the Coonabarabran Administration Office.

COUNCIL ADMINISTRATION SERVICES IN COOLAH
Council Administration Services are available from the Coolah Library (mezzanine level).
Operating Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays only
Hours: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
Access to the mezzanine level is via the side entrance of the library.

The Service NSW Agency in Coolah will remain closed until further notice.

🚫 CLOSURE - BOWEN OVAL, COOLAH
Council wishes to advise that Bowen Oval, Coolah will be closed following today's Cross Country event and throughout the weekend due to wet weather conditions.

The oval will remain closed until further notice.

We know this can be frustrating but it is important that we close the ovals when affected by wet weather so as not to create significant irreparable damage or a safety risk to the community.

Council thanks the community for their understanding and patience.

Additional Information – the dog was wearing a blue collar however there is no contact details on the collar.
