🌿 Djilba in Kepa Kurl - Esperance 🌿

Djilba is the Noongar season of transformation, marking the transition from the cool, wet days of winter towards the warmth of spring. It is often known as the season of conception and renewal, when the natural world begins to stir with new life.

Across the Kepa Kurl Esperance region, you may notice the landscape changing as wildflowers start to emerge, waterways remain full from winter rains, and many native animals begin their breeding season. Djilba is a time of contrasts, bringing a mix of cold, clear days, occasional storms, and the first signs of the vibrant spring colours to come.

Djilba reminds us to slow down, look closely at the environment around us, and appreciate the cycles of nature that connect us all.

What signs of the changing season have you noticed around Kepa Kurl Esperance? 🌼🐦💚
