🌟 National Meals on Wheels Day 2026 🌟

We were delighted to welcome our local MP, Richie Williamson MP, to Grafton District Meals on Wheels today to volunteer for the day! 💙

Richie joined our wonderful volunteers and enjoyed heading out on deliveries, visiting our clients, delivering their meals and taking the time for a quick chat and friendly catch-up. 😊🍛🥗

It was fantastic to have him experience firsthand the important role Meals on Wheels plays in our local community.

A big thank you to Richie for giving his time and for recognising and appreciating the incredible work of our amazing volunteers.

We are so proud of the wonderful community service our volunteers provide every single day — delivering more than just a meal, but also friendship, connection and a friendly face at the door. 🥰

3 years ago we were lucky enough to have such a happy, fun and beautiful lady come to volunteer for us. She soon became staff, then the queen of centre base and a much loved member of our MOW family. Sad day for all today as we said farewell before she moves south. Lara, We wish you all the best. You will be missed by all 💙💚🌺🌺

A big thank you to Grant Mallett from Commonwealth Bank Grafton for visiting Grafton Meals on Wheels and presenting us with a generous $1,500 donation through the CommBank Community Donations Program.

This contribution will help us continue providing nutritious meals, friendly welfare checks, and vital support to people in our local community.

We are incredibly grateful to CommBank and Grant for their ongoing commitment to supporting local organisations and making a positive difference in the lives of others.

This week we celebrate our wonderful volunteers for volunteers week. We are so lucky to have so many dedicated volunteers give up their time delivering meals and helping in the kitchen. We are truly grateful to each and everyone of you we couldn’t do it without you 💙💚

Our monthly Centre Base Day our activity this month was playing hoi and the chance to win some prizes and our usual sing along

On Friday we held our monthly Centre - Base day was one to remember.We gathered to honour Anzac Day with a heartfelt ceremony filled with history,stories and community spirit .
We even had a sing-along which brought plenty of smiles.
Mow President Gary took charge of leading the two -up, keeping the fun and tradition alive.
To finish of the day everyone enjoyed a delicious meal prepared and serve by our Meals on Wheels team and the ever busy- volunteers in the kitchen .
