“Let’s not build fences, let’s build bridges instead.”

Today, we had the privilege of hearing Bundjalung Elder and Associate Professor Uncle Boe Rambaldini share his story — a powerful and heartfelt experience that touched everyone in the room. 🖤💛❤

Through honesty, wisdom and reflection, Uncle Boe encouraged us to listen, learn and continue building a stronger path forward together. His words were both moving and inspiring, leaving a meaningful impact on those who attended.

A special thank you to Uncle Gary for delivering the Welcome to Country, and to Mandy and her family for helping organise the event and providing a delicious morning tea filled with Aboriginal treats.

Thank you, Uncle Boe, for sharing your journey and reminding us of the importance of connection, understanding and reconciliation.

Yes - we are all in!

A big shout-out to Leonie, one of our Supported Independent Living (SIL) participants, who identified cooking as an important skill she wanted to develop, and she has been working consistently toward this goal.

With encouragement from her support team, Leonie has been building her skills in meal preparation, learning everything from planning meals to preparing healthy and nutritious food in her home.

Each step forward has helped Leonie grow in confidence and independence, and we are very proud of her achievements. The smile says it all 😍

Keep up the great work Leonie, and those meals look delicious!

Our offices will be closed on Monday, 27 April due to the ANZAC Day public holiday.

We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, 28 April at 8 am when our offices reopen.🙂

Today, we pause to remember and honour the courage, sacrifice and service of all Australians and New Zealanders who have served our country.

On ANZAC Day, we reflect on the spirit of the ANZACs and the values of mateship, resilience and courage that continue to shape our communities.

We acknowledge all those who have served, and those who continue to serve, and we pay our respects to their families.

Lest we forget.🌹

Playgroup is back this week! 🌈

We’re excited to welcome families back to our supported playgroups, kicking off this week in Grafton, South Grafton and Yamba!

It’s a wonderful opportunity for children aged 0–5 to learn, play and grow in a safe, supportive environment - while parents and carers connect, share and build friendships.

Led by a qualified early childhood facilitator, our playgroups are relaxed, inclusive and designed to support children's development through play.

💛 Free to attend
💛 All families welcome
💛 Fun, connection and learning each week

Come along, meet other local families and enjoy a morning of play! For more information, visit livable.org.au/playgroups
