One of the loveliest things about Forget Me Nots is the flexibility it offers. People can join us every week, once a month, or simply whenever it suits them. Each week brings a different mix of wonderful people, making every gathering unique, yet the warmth, laughter and joy remain constant.
We always have a fabulous morning together and today was certainly no exception! The singing was awesome, the morning tea was amazing, and the chair dancing was stunning. Another wonderful morning filled with music, friendship, laughter and plenty of joy.
Next week is going to be different, because we will be at The Criterion Theatre, which is in Oliver St. We will also have a visit from Year 5/6 students from Grafton Primary School, which will be very exciting. Everyone has a wonderful time singing, chatting and sharing morning tea with the delightful students in 5/6JP.
Come and join us next Tuesday at the Criterion Theatre at 10.

We had a lot of fun at Forget Me Nots this morning. We started with a small tribute to Dolly Parton, with some songs and other activities – which were cause for much hilarity.
We then progressed with lots of chair dancing and fabulous singing. We were in fine voice, and I’m sure we could be heard from Shopping World. We certainly gave “Sweet Caroline” a blast. What fun!!!
Our delicious morning tea was enjoyed by everyone, so a big thank you to all our wonderful volunteers, who not only come and help each week, but also bring in lots of tasty treats.
A note to write in your Diary – on Tuesday 15th September, we will be at the Criterion Theatre, in Oliver St. The Conservatorium will be used for HSC Examinations. So, make sure that is where you come on the 15th. Same activities and morning tea, just a different venue – for one week only.
Come and join us next week for more fun and laughter. 10 am - Clarence Valley Conservatorium. Bring a smile!!!

We had another wonderful morning at Forget Me Nots this morning. Lots of happy singers, who sang every song with lots of enthusiasm. The sound was amazing and there were smiles on every face.
“Sweet Caroline” was fabulous and would put most Pub Choirs to shame. It’s such a great song to sing together. All our songs are fun, and everyone puts in lots of commitment.
We had some new faces visiting and lots of familiar faces as well, and we all had a great time. Chair dancing was a little more controlled this week, with not much improvisation happening, we are certainly improving every week. By the end of the morning everyone feels like they have done a workout.
Mention must be made of Jason’s shirt - so bright and colourful and made everyone feel happy just looking at it. Go Jason!!!
Come and join us next Tuesday at Clarence Valley Conservatorium, at 10.

The boys dancing group received a lot of applause this morning – they rocked. The theme for the day was “be adventurous” I think, and everyone did exactly that. Even our chair dancing was very cutting edge – with lots of bold new moves. I think I can safely say that a higher skill level was displayed today and hopefully, it will continue.
We had a great morning with lots of laughs, and I think most people were ready for a “Nanna Nap” this afternoon. Forget Me Nots does certainly use up some energy. Thankfully the morning tea was its usual amazing standard, and by 11 we had all refueled, helped by Erin’s scones and lots of other delicacies.
Robyn was treated to a candle and cake and a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday. She graciously accepted everyone’s best wishes.
Come and join us next week for another top morning.

🎶❤️ What a wonderful day!

More than 70 people gathered this Tuesday at Clarence Valley Conservatorium and as you know… we love a celebration! 🥳🎂 It was Helen’s birthday so a little surprise (with attached sparkler) had been organised.

A huge thank you, as always, to our volunteer ‘team’ for their wonderful support and hospitality. Your time, enthusiasm and willingness to help each week create the warm, welcoming community that we have. We truly couldn’t do it without you.

Our singing was enthusiastic, especially our rendition of ‘Sweet Caroline’, which was requested by James. It was also great to see Ted happily involved, dancing along with Leigh, Jason, Abe and James. We’ll be looking forward to a repeat next week, Ted.

Many thanks to Jayne for filling in on keyboard for Jenny who is away celebrating the birth of dear little Hamish. Well done Nanna!

We can’t wait to see everyone again next week. Until then, take care of yourselves and keep singing! ❤️🎶

We had a full house this morning at Forget Me Nots. It was a very cold morning, but everyone was enthusiastic and happy to be part of the fun that we had.
Louise was our motivator this morning, and she did a fine job, with song after song creating a fabulous sound. It was pleasing to be able to welcome Jenny and Neville to our happy group. Jenny told me that she has been following us for years, so knew lots about our activities.
Morning tea was awesome and our wonderful volunteers did a great job of preparing and presenting the delicious offerings.
The morning ended in a rush, with some stunning chair dancing – a little more improvised than usual, but still classy – and songs that kept getting faster and faster.
The piano player was out of control!!

We had a great Christmas in July this morning, with lots of decorations creating a Christmassy vibe. We all looked very festive and there were smiles all round. We had a cheery crowd of over 70 and the singing was fabulous.
It was good to see so many smiling, happy people, and everyone was keen to have a chat during our morning tea break. It was another triumph – the best in town was a comment I heard repeatedly.
Come and join us next Tuesday for another top morning tea and lots of friendship and laughs.

Our first sing together for Term 3 was lots of fun, and with our new song books and lots of happy people, we were away!! The quality of our singing certainly hasn’t been affected by 2 weeks break.
We were very happy to welcome new singers Judy, Carol, Lorraine and Bill, who all seemed to have a good time. We were also pleased to see so many familiar faces. Helga was greeted with lots of enthusiasm from her friends, and we hope she can continue to join us whenever possible.
Morning tea was delicious, as usual, with Erin’s scones, Louise’s slice, Jenny’s Anzac biscuits and Sue’s always perfect egg sandwiches all vying for top place. They were all winners as far as we are concerned, and very quickly consumed.
A big thank you to the Clarence Valley Conservatorium for helping us set up and make Forget Me Nots the fabulous morning it always is, plus a big HI 5 to all our wonderful volunteers.
Next Tuesday we will have a “little Christmas spirit” in the air, so if you are going to join us, make sure you come suitably decorated. If you don’t have anything suitable – not to worry – we have plenty to go around.
Come and join us next Tuesday at Clarence Valley Conservatorium at 10. A great morning is guaranteed!!!
