Another amazing day at the library, filled with so many smiling faces!

Did you know that singing nursery rhymes with your little one, especially with fun actions, is a wonderful way to support their development?

Actions such as clapping, waving, pointing and moving along to the rhyme help babies develop their motor skills, hand-eye coordination and body awareness — all while having fun and connecting with you!

Rhyme Time is held every Tuesday and Thursday at 10am during the school terms.

Today we welcomed Spring at the library!
We read Wild and Free by Carrie Gallasch & Martina Heiduczek, Bees are our Friends by Toni D'Alia & Alice Lindstrom and Little Seed by Hector Dexet. Everyone made their own bee to take home and had a lovely play in the outdoor area

Join Liam from OM Taste to learn and play traditional Italian card games!

Over the 6 weeks, we’ll learn and play three much-loved Italian card games — Scopa, Briscola and Scala Quaranta.

Whether you have Italian heritage, fond memories of family card games, or simply enjoy learning something new, this is a great opportunity to meet people, have some fun and discover a much-loved part of Italian culture.

No previous experience is necessary! Liam will take you through the rules, strategies and traditions of each game, followed by plenty of guided play in small groups.

Afternoon tea will be provided.

Come for the games, stay for the company!

The sessions will run for 6 weeks — book just one session or come along to all six. It’s completely up to you!

What a fun Book Week Storytime! 📚✨

Thank you to everyone who came along and dressed up in your amazing costumes. We had such a great time!

We read Room on the Broom and, thanks to Griffith Regional Theatre, gave away a family pass to the show. Congratulations to our winner, Jess! 🎉🧹

We also read Book Week Bear, made superhero masks and enjoyed some colouring-in. 🦸‍♀️🎨

The winning entries will have their bookmark professionally printed and available at the library along with a Matt Stanton book pack.

We will be adding a members choice award where our library members can vote on their favourite design.
