LABOR SLASHES INLAND RAIL

The Inland Rail is nation-building infrastructure. Not only has it been creating jobs, particularly in the regions, it was designed to be a 1,600-kilometre corridor of commerce connecting Melbourne and Brisbane within 24 hours.

Now Labor is cutting the project.

Regional jobs will be lost.

Steady rainfall over the weekend has given Riverina farmers some respite from prolonged dry conditions and heartened their prospects this sowing season. All they need now is guaranteed diesel distribution and affordability and crops can be planted in time.
