Father’s Day is a wonderful reminder of the important role fathers play in our families and communities. We are grateful to be part of your lives and to share a friendly smile, a warm meal and a little connection along the way.

💙 International Day of Charity – 5 September 💙

Today, on International Day of Charity, we celebrate the incredible spirit of giving that exists within our Griffith community.

At Griffith Meals on Wheels, charity means so much more than providing a meal. It’s about making a difference in people’s lives through kindness, connection, care and a helping hand when it’s needed most. 🍽️❤️

Through Hampers of Hope, we are also proud to help rescue good food and share it with individuals and families in our community who may be doing it tough. 🥫🥖❤️

None of this would be possible without the generosity of our amazing volunteers, donors, food suppliers, local businesses, community organisations and supporters. Every donation, every hour volunteered and every act of kindness helps make our community stronger.

Today is a wonderful reminder that we all have something to give — whether it’s our time, resources, skills, food or simply a caring smile.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support the work of Griffith Meals on Wheels and Hampers of Hope. Together, we are making a difference — one meal, one hamper and one act of kindness at a time. 💙

A Heartfelt Thank You to 💛

Griffith Meals on Wheels would like to extend our sincerest thanks to the wonderful children, families and educators at Griffith Central Preschool for their beautiful donation of handmade blankets and beanies.

These thoughtful items were lovingly created through the preschool’s Kindness Club Community Project, with the beautiful aim of showing kindness, compassion and support to people in our community who may be experiencing hardship, or simply need a little extra warmth and care.

We are incredibly touched by the time, effort and love that has gone into creating each and every piece. 🧶❤️ We are sure our clients will love and appreciate these beautiful handmade gifts very much.

A special thank you to Julianne, Early Childhood Teacher at Griffith Central Preschool, for coordinating and supporting this wonderful project and for helping the children learn the importance of kindness, compassion and giving back to their community.

Thank you to all the children, families and educators who contributed to this beautiful initiative. Your generosity has brought warmth and joy to the Griffith community in more ways than one. 🌟

💙 Blue Up Griffith – Griffith Meals on Wheels is showing our support!

Griffith Meals on Wheels is proud to support the Blue Up Griffith Campaign, helping raise awareness of prostate cancer in our community.

We’ve added a touch of blue to our office window and front desk to show our support and help start conversations about a disease that affects many men and their families.

Raising awareness is important. Early conversations, knowing the signs and symptoms, and encouraging men to speak with their doctor can make a real difference.

This September, we’re proud to stand with the Griffith Prostate Cancer Support Group and the wider community in raising awareness and showing support for those affected by prostate cancer. 💙
