๐ŸŒฑ Reminder: Round 1 of Councilโ€™s 2026-2027 Community Grants Scheme is now open!

Funding contributions of up to $5,000 are available for sporting clubs and community groups to help deliver projects that increase community participation and enhance wellbeing across the district.

Hard copy application packs are also available at Councilโ€™s Principal Office at 324 Commercial Street West, Mount Gambier.

Head online to renew your pet registrations through the Dogs and Cats Online (DACO) portal: https://dogsandcatsonline.com.au/

If you experience any trouble accessing DACO, Council staff are available to provide support with renewals.

Six locations across the district have been identified as possible locations for future EV charging stations. Community members are invited to share their feedback on the identified locations and suggest any additional or alternative sites that may have been missed.

To help keep communities informed, the South Australian Government is hosting a community forum at the Port MacDonnell Community Complex on Thursday 27 August 2026, from 6pm.

Hear from government leaders and experts including the Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development, the Hon. Clare Scriven MLC, and representatives from the Department of Primary Industries and Regions, Department for Environment and Water and SA Health.

This is an opportunity to learn more about H5 bird flu, the preparedness measures currently in place as well as the animal, human and environmental health considerations.

Community consultation is now open on proposed upgrades to the playground facilities at the Tarpeena Recreation Reserve.

A community drop-in session will be held at the Tarpeena Playground on Tuesday 25 August at 3:30pm for interested community members to ask questions and hear more about the project.

To help keep communities informed, the South Australian Government is hosting a community forum at the Port MacDonnell Community Complex on Thursday 27 August 2026, from 6pm.
