We're sharing our six emerging Big Ideas for the Mount Gambier CBD Master Plan!

City Living Strategy - Making the CBD a place where people want to live, play and stay. It will guide opportunities for new housing and accommodation development in the CBD; encouraging diverse building types while embracing Mount Gambier's unique heritage and identity.

We're keen to hear your thoughts:

βœ… Where could more homes or accommodation be built in the CBD?
βœ… What sort of mix of housing types do you think we could encourage? What could they look like?
βœ… Is there anything important that we need to consider as we approach a City Living Strategy?

Earlier this week, Mayor Lynette Martin welcomed Year 5 students from Tenison Woods College Mount Gambier to the Civic Centre Council Chambers, where they learned about local government, democracy and the important role Council plays in shaping our community. Students had the opportunity to ask questions, explore how decisions are made and discover how their voices can help create positive change.

It was fantastic to see such thoughtful engagement from our future community leaders. Thank you for visiting us!

We're keen to hear your thoughts:

βœ… If you could activate one vacant building, laneway or public space in the CBD tomorrow, what would you do and why?
βœ… When you think of cultural places, events, organisations or creative activities in the CBD that you love, what do you think of, and what makes it great?
βœ… Is there anything important that we’ve missed?
