More Paddock Trees for the Limestone Coast.

We are pleased to announce that the Limestone Coast Paddock Tree Project will be continuing in 2026/27.

Landholders in eligible areas can apply for support to establish or preserve the next generation of paddock trees, for the benefit of agriculture, wildlife, landscapes and well-being.

Trees For Life provides seedlings, guards, fencing materials and advice to participating landholders.

The state government has launched a new $6mHeritage Agreement Grant program for 2026-2030. The grants will fund native vegetation conservation projects for Heritage Agreement areas on private land across South Australia.

This follows the successful $6m Heritage Agreement Grants program 2023 – 2026 which funded more than 200 projects and enhanced biodiversity across 75,000 hectares.

Grants are for activities that improve biodiversity, including fencing, w**d and pest management and planting, and the program includes regional outreach, workshops and training to support landowners.

The Heritage Agreement Grants program makes a significant contribution to Australia’s commitment to aim to protect 30% of global land and marine areas by the year 2030. Heritage Agreements account for 3.5% of conserved land in South Australia.

The Limestone Coast Landscape Board is partnering with LawrieCo to deliver this workshop in Bordertown designed to be practical and regionally relevant, with an opportunity to ask questions and discuss individual circumstances.

Our Grassroots Grants recipients for the 2026-27 round have been announced! 🌱🎉

Now in its seventh year, this year’s round has committed more than $303,000 to 12 new local projects that will deliver practical environmental and community outcomes across the Limestone Coast.

citizen science and restoration project at Germain Reserve.

Water monitoring at the Karst springs restoration project site will be key to informing restoration activities every step of the way. As the project progresses and engineering designs are drafted, understanding site hydrology and identifying any potential environmental or waterlogging risks will be critical.

Join the Government of South Australia at Port MacDonnell to learn about bird flu and how you can help.

South Australia continues to respond to detections of H5 bird flu across the state.

To help keep communities informed, the South Australian Government is hosting a community forum at the Port MacDonnell Community Complex on Thursday 27 August 2026, from 6pm.

Hear from government leaders and experts including the Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development, the Hon. Clare Scriven MLC, and representatives from the Department of Primary Industries and Regions, Department for Environment and Water and SA Health.

This is an opportunity to learn more about H5 bird flu, the preparedness measures currently in place as well as the animal, human and environmental health considerations.

This forum is free and open to the public. Registration is essential due to venue capacity.
