🌟 SASS Recognition Week 🌟

This week, we celebrated our incredible School Administrative and Support Staff with a few special treats, finishing today with a morning tea in their honour.

It was a small way to thank our wonderful SASS team for the care, dedication and support they provide to our students, staff and families every day. Our school simply wouldn’t be the same without them!

Thank you SASS for all that you do, you truly are a special part of our school. 💐☕🍫🧁

📚 More Kindy Connections Fun!

Today, we welcomed another group of our 2027 Kindergarten students and their carers to Kindy Connections in the library.

The children enjoyed exploring the library, listening to a story, learning about emotions and creating their own emotions puppets. It was lovely to see so many happy faces becoming more familiar and comfortable with their future school environment. 💚❤️

We look forward to seeing everyone again at next week’s Kindy Connections sessions!

Can you help the P&C out on Friday?

Can you help in the canteen on Friday? We need a couple of people to help prepare food and pack up lunches. If you can fill one or more of these timeslots, please message us!

Kindy Connections Begins!

Today, we held our first Kindy Connections session in the library. Some of our 2027 Kindergarten students and their carers joined us for a fabulous morning together.

It was wonderful to see the children beginning to explore their new school environment and become familiar with some friendly faces. We look forward to welcoming more of our 2027 Kindergarten students and their carers on Thursday! 💚

Our P&C Father’s Day Stall was in full swing today, with students excitedly choosing special gifts for their Dad, Grandad or another special male figure in their life. 🎁✨
It was wonderful to see so many students carefully selecting something special to take home and share this Father’s Day.
🎁 Forgot to purchase a gift today? No worries! Our P&C will have the Father’s Day Stall open again at recess tomorrow, giving students another opportunity to choose a special gift.
A huge thank you to our wonderful P&C for organising the stall and helping make Father’s Day extra special for our students and their families! 💙👏

This week at Cudgegong Valley Public School, our PBL focus is Self-control.

At Cudgegong Valley Public School, we are responsible learners who are safe and respectful by showing self-control.

Throughout the week, students will be learning about:

- noticing their feelings and recognising when emotions are getting bigger
- stopping and breathing before reacting
- thinking about their choices in tricky situations
- asking themselves, Am I safe? What choices do I have? What would be a positive choice?
- using calm words and actions
- making responsible, safe and respectful choices at school, at home and in the community

By practising self-control each day, students can learn to manage their emotions, make positive choices and respond in ways that help themselves and others feel safe and supported.

In all our best.
