Round 29 of the FRRR Strengthening Rural Communities Small and Vital program is now open - and applications close 24 June 2026 at 5pm.
If your community group or organisation is based in regional, rural or remote Australia, there are two tiers worth knowing about.
Small grants of up to $10,000 are available for grassroots, community-led initiatives that strengthen local people, places and climate solutions - priority for communities with populations under 15,000. Projects must be delivered within 12 months.
Larger leverage grants of up to $50,000 are available specifically for projects building digital skills, confidence and safety for adults, including training and connectivity infrastructure. These have an 18-month delivery timeframe.
Funding outcomes will be announced by late September 2026.
RDA Central West can help you work out whether your project is a good fit before you apply. Get in touch with our team [email protected], or visit frrr.org.au to read the guidelines and apply.
