Michael and Jenny Cotton of Junction Hill were selected as the ‘vendor of the week’ at today's Grafton prime cattle sale. The vendor was selected for their offering of 15 heavy steers which were predominately Charolais-cross. The entire offering
sold to export processor JBS Australia for 422.2c/kg. The heaviest pen of steers was a pen of 3 averaging 705kg, grossing $2,976.51/head for the Cotton’s. The offering was sold by Donovan Livestock and Property of South Grafton.

Mount Jackadgery Cattle Station was selected as the ‘vendor of the week’ at today's Farrell McCrohon store cattle sale. The vendor offered 85 Charolais-cross calves for sale, consisting of 46 heifers and 39 steers. The heifers topped at 555.2c/kg on the back of strong on-line bidding, with all bar 1 selling on-line via Stocklive. The steers sold to a sale top of 680.2c/kg for a pen of 24 calves averaging 167.9kg and grossing $1,142.17/head. The offering was sold by Farrell McCrohon Stock and Station Agents of Ulmarra.

Council is seeking expressions of interest from people with relevant knowledge, experience or involvement with the Grafton Saleyards or regional livestock industry to join the Grafton Saleyard Advisory Committee.

The committee will provide balanced, evidence-based advice and recommendations to Council on the strategic management, development, operation and long-term role of the Grafton Regional Livestock Selling Centre.

Trevor and Suzyne Wingfield of Fine Flower were selected as the ‘vendor of the week’ at today's Grafton prime cattle sale. The vendor was selected for their offering of 8 heavy Angus-cross bullocks from their iconic Clarence Gorge property. The heaviest of the bullocks was a pen of 3 which averaged 836.7kg and grossed $3,222.84/head, while the lightest of the offering was a 610kg bullock which sold for 415.2c/kg to gross $2,532.72. The offering was sold by Farrell McCrohon Stock and Station Agents of Ulmarra.

Judy Parr was selected as the ‘vendor of the week’ at today's Donovan Livestock and Property store cattle sale. The vendor was selected for her offering of 5 Charolais-cross heifers and 7 steers from her property at Tucabia. The high-quality steers sold for 520.2c/kg at 390kg average to gross $2,028.78/head, while the heifers sold for 464.2c/kg at 402kg to gross $1,866.08/head. The offering was sold by Donovan Livestock & Property of south Grafton.

Pillar Valley Pastoral was selected as the ‘vendor of the week’ at today's Grafton prime cattle sale. The vendors’ offering included 17 ‘empty’ cows and 7 grown heifers. Two Angus-cross heifers topped the offering, selling for 386.2c/kg at an average weight of 550kg to gross $2,124.10/head. The cows topped at 353.2c/kg for 14 Brahman-cross’ averaging 508.6kg to gross $1,796.27/head. The offering was sold by Donovan Livestock and Property of South Grafton.

Craig and Jim Murray of ‘Murray’s Bobcats’ were selected as the ‘vendor of the week’ at today's Farrell McCrohon store cattle sale. The vendor sold 8 milk-tooth Charolais-cross steers from their fertile property along Musk Creek on the outskirts of South Grafton. The offering sold for 532.2 c/kg at an average weight of 410kg to gross the vendor $2,182.02/head. The offering was sold by Farrell McCrohen Stock and Station Agents of Ulmarra.

Ben McLennan of Lavadia was selected as the ‘vendor of the week’ at today's Grafton prime cattle sale. The vendor was selected for his offering of 37 cull-for-age cows from his property near Tucabia. The highest grossing pen were the 6 Angus-cross cows pictured, selling for 369.2c/kg at an average weight of 581.7kg to gross $2,147.51/head. The offering was sold by Farrell McCrohon Stock and Station Agents of Ulmarra.

J & K Lucas of Tullymorgan were selected as the ‘vendor of the week’ at today's Grafton prime cattle sale. The vendor sold a total of 5 Angus cows from his Lower Clarence property, with one heavy cow sharing top price for the cow market. This large cow weighed 665kg and sold to export processors for 392.2c/kg to gross the vendor $2,608.13. The offering was sold by Donovan Livestock and Property of South Grafton.
