Youth In Livingstone

23/09/2026

Over the past two days we were honored to welcome the amazing author, editor and all-round wonderful human, , to Livingstone Shire for a series of special workshops with children across our region.

Over four events, Niki generously shared her wealth of knowledge from the publishing world, encouraging people to trust their ideas and let their imaginations soar.

Attendees were given a special insight into the story behind Niki's beautiful new picture book, 'The Umbrella'. A deeply moving and thoughtful story, 'The Umbrella' speaks to anyone who has ever felt like they do not fit in.

Thank you Niki Foreman for sharing your stories, your wisdom, your knowledge and most of all your heart with the people of our community.

If you haven't yet discovered 'The Umbrella', do yourself a favour and borrow a copy from one of our libraries today. It's a story that will stay with you well and truly after the final page.
