International Day of Yoga 2026 coming up!

Indian cultural centre NWCC, Thimphu, held curtain-raiser event at Druk School, Thimphu on May 5th, in the run up to the International Day of Yoga on 21 June.

NWCC Yoga teacher guided a demonstration of yoga postures and body-mind harmony.

Embassy of India, Thimphu is organizing screening of very popular Indian film “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge”, a story of two young Indians, who meet during a trip in Europe and develop a close relationship. Simran is later taken back to India by her family after arranging her marriage. Raj follows her to India and tries to gain the approval of her family.
