In a recent Parent-Child Mother Goose group at Carya, three fathers arrived each week with their young children. The dads shared how meaningful it was to have somewhere to go where they felt welcomed as caregivers.

Carya recognizes fathers and father figures for their dedication to the children in their lives, today and every day.

In Chapter Five of Under One Roof, Karina, George, Sarah, and Michael each begin to move forward in their own way.

Their challenges are different, but each story shows what can happen when people are met with support that is connected, compassionate, and easier to access.

Different people.
Different challenges.
Different starting points.

But under one roof, they became a little more supported, a little more steady, and a little less alone.

And sometimes, that is enough to change everything.

Shoes half on. A backpack by the door.

“It’s time to go.”

And suddenly, everything unraveled.

In Chapter Four of Under One Roof, Sarah and Michael are trying their best to support their son through anxiety and ADHD while holding themselves together, too.

What they find at Carya’s Parenting Anxious Kids program is more than parenting strategies. They find understanding, connection, and the ability to respond differently in difficult moments.

The hard moments don’t disappear overnight.
But they become more manageable.

And together, they begin to move forward differently.
