Our team recently had the opportunity to volunteer together at the Calgary Food Bank! It was a meaningful shift filled with teamwork, great conversation, a few Beatles songs, and plenty of good energy along the way.

Thank you to everyone who took part and helped support an organization doing such important work in our community.

Happy Seniors' Week! We all feel a bit better when we're in good company. Seniors' Week is a time to come together to enjoy the arts, expert talks, movies, and other fun things that make it worth leaving the house for - things you may not even realize you wanted to know about - like shipping, or relive the glory days of The Beatles 🎶

On Tuesday June 2 (10 am), come and learn about getting your house in order, from finances to trinkets.

On Wednesday, June 3 (10 am) come see a free documentary: What is LNG anyway? It's all about how our stuff gets from one place to another on ocean liners.

Also on Wednesday (noon), join us in the gymnasium for an art exhibit. We have some outrageously talented artists at Unison and we're really excited to show off their work!

On Thursday, June 4 (10 am), we're offering a full day workshop on aging in place with help from cool technologies that can make your life more comfortable.

Also on Thursday (1 pm), we're happy to offer a free movie screening and discussion.

Friday June 5th (1 pm), you can Twist and Shout at our amazing Beatles history & karaoke!

In this inspiring conversation, CMHA peer support worker Hugh Baker shares his incredible life journey that led him to Horizons, a 55+ Peer Support Program.
Horizons is a new program created by Canadian Mental Health Association that focuses on connection and breaking isolation among older adults.
