What a great afternoon! ☀️

A big thank you to Jason Plain Eagle for coming out and teaching our families traditional Indigenous games. We learned the Hoop Circle Game, Ring and Stick Game, Hoop and Buffalo Game, and more — with lots of laughs along the way!

We took a little break for snacks and refreshments before heading back out for more games. We even made some new friends along the way. ❤️

Thank you to all the families who came out and joined us. It was a beautiful day to learn, play and have some fun together!

We’re accepting applications for our Indigenous Artist(s) in Residence program until August 31! 🎨

The Indigenous Artist(s) in Residence program offers artists paid residencies, studio space and access to campus resources, all while staying connected to community, family and land!

Generously supported by TD Bank Group (TD) artists will create new work, mentor students, lead workshops and artist talks and share their work through exhibitions and performances.

Calling all LAMA families! Get ready for an afternoon of fresh air, connection, and friendly competition. We are thrilled to invite our community to an Indigenous Games Day on August 21st!

This is a fantastic opportunity for families to come together, get active, and learn more about traditional Indigenous games. Whether you are looking to sharpen your skills or just want to enjoy a fun afternoon outdoors, we’d love to see you there!

What kids can expect:

Kids and families can look forward to an exciting lineup of traditional outdoor games. It’s the perfect chance to learn something new, move our bodies, and enjoy some healthy, friendly competition as a community. We’ll have plenty of space to run, play, and celebrate together!

Craft Catch-Up Night
Have an unfinished beading project, ribbon skirt, dream catcher, or another Métis craft that’s waiting to be completed? Bring it along and join us for a relaxed evening of creativity and connection!

This is an unstructured, open drop-in session where you can work independently on your projects while enjoying the company of fellow makers. Come share space, chat, and get inspired by what others are creating. Feel free to bring an old project to finish or materials to start something entirely new!
