We were honoured to welcome 𝗞𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 (MPP for Thunder Bay–Atikokan) and 𝗔𝗺𝘆 𝗞𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗹 (Ontario Trillium Foundation Representative) as we celebrated the success of our 𝙍𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘼𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝘽𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙁𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙀𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙨 pilot project.

With support from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, this one-year initiative helped more than 300 people access food, utility assistance, income tax services, and other essential community supports.

If you're a 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 or 𝗛𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗼 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 in the Thunder Bay area and you're in arrears on your electricity bill, you may qualify for financial assistance through 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗣 (the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program).

Eligible households may receive:
⚡ Upto $650 for natural-gas heated home
🏠 Upto $780 if your home is heated with electricity

LEAP is designed to help households facing an emergency who are at risk of having their utility service disconnected due to overdue bills.

📞 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝟮-𝟭-𝟭 to check your eligibility and complete your initial intake. If you qualify, the Lakehead Social Planning Council team will assist you through the application process.
