Elections Manitoba The independent office of the Manitoba Legislative Assembly responsible for holding free and fair provincial elections.

Elections Manitoba is the office of the Chief Electoral Officer of Manitoba. The responsibilities of the office are as follows:

◾ operate free of political influence
◾ conduct Manitoba's provincial elections, by-elections and referendums
◾ ensure all eligible citizens have the opportunity to vote
◾ promote public awareness of voting and the electoral process
◾ help political participants comply with election rules
◾ put The Elections Act and The Election Financing Act into action
◾ recommend improvements to existing legislation

The purpose of this site is to provide information to Manitobans regarding the electoral process and their voting options. As well, the site will keep Manitobans updated on Elections Manitoba activities and initiatives. This site is intended for information purposes only and not as a discussion forum. Posts or comments that are disrespectful, partisan, obscene, defamatory or offensive will be removed
