Combat2Coffee

Combat2Coffee Our mission is to improve the mental health and wellbeing of the armed forces community and their families.

Founded by former prison officer and army veteran Nigel Seaman, Combat2Coffee is a community interest start-up founded in 2018 which aims to:

- Create safe community and charity-led spaces within its coffee shops where veterans, families and those struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues can go to feel supported and connected.

- Educate communities and families on de-escalation strate

gies and techniques when engaging with individuals with disabilities and trauma-related mental health conditions.

- Reform ex-offender reintegration and improve positive outcomes via its Coffee Roasting and Barista Prisoner Rehabilitation Training Programme.

- Improve sustainability and quality of coffee across the U.K. via its direct trade branded Brazilian coffee and economies of scale achieved by wholesale trade. Through the use of branded coffee, a strategic high street presence, pop-up caravan coffee shops, B2B engagement and its Coffee Roasting and Barista Prisoner Rehabilitation Training Programme - Combat2Coffee aims to deliver and support charitable causes, veterans and those suffering from mental health issues locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.

A HUGE THANK YOU TO AVEVA! 💻☕

Yesterday, Maisie and Nigel headed to Cambridge to spend the morning with the team at AVEVA Solutions Ltd, taking part in one of their charity laptop refurbishment days.

We were incredibly grateful to walk away with 30 refurbished laptops, which will make a real difference across our work.

These laptops will be used across our prison sites to support qualifications, development and training for new starters, as well as at our Sizewell locations for logging data. We also hope to use them to give veterans the opportunity to learn new skills and gain qualifications when transitioning out of the forces.

A huge thank you to AVEVA for choosing Combat2Coffee as one of the organisations to benefit from your charity day. We are incredibly grateful for your support and can't wait to put these laptops to good use! 💙

Thank you, AVEVA!👏

CALLING ALL SERVICE MEMBERS

Service members and members of the Armed Forces community are invited to attend and pay their respects to Graham John Birch, a Royal Marines and Falklands veteran, who served with 42 Commando and 45 Commando.

📅 Friday 21st August 2026
⏰ 13:30
📍 3 Counties Crematorium, Halstead Road, Essex.

We have been reliably informed that there is currently expected to be a small attendance, so please do share this post and help spread the word. It would be wonderful to have as many representatives from the Armed Forces community there as possible, to honour Graham’s service and ensure he receives the recognition he deserves.

We hope Graham receives the send-off he truly deserves. ❤️

Rest in Peace, Graham.
Forever remembered, never forgotten.

100 RUNNERS. 1 TEAM. 1 BIG MISSION.

We’re taking on the Ipswich Half Marathon with a team of 100 runners, raising awareness and funds for Combat2Coffee! ☕️

Last year, 70 runners raised an incredible £10,500, plus £6,000 from Ipswich Cardinals. This year, we’re going bigger!

💙 Want to join Team C2C? We still have a few spaces available! Lace up, get involved and help us make an even bigger impact.

We’re also looking for local businesses to sponsor our team. Your logo will feature on our running shirts and across our social media, giving your business great local exposure while showing your support for the armed forces community.

C2C TEAM BUILDING! ☕️💙

Friday evening brought together our C2C team from across all departments — including some who had never met before and some of our newest team members, who got stuck straight in! 🙌

4 teams. 5 locations. Clues, riddles, bonus challenges and A LOT of funny photos. 😂
There was plenty of chaos, some serious team spirit and a whole lot of laughter… but after battling it out across Ipswich, it all came down to a head-to-head tie-break between two brothers on different teams! There could only be one winner! 🏆

But the evening wasn't really about winning. It was about bringing our team closer together, getting to know the people we don't usually work alongside and creating some brilliant memories — and we think it did exactly that.💙

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and threw themselves into it! And to those who couldn't make it… there's always next time! 😉

What a brilliant evening with a truly brilliant team of people at C2C💙☕️

💙 Happy Friday, everyone! ☕

What a fantastic week it's been! As we head into the weekend, we just wanted to wish you all a relaxing couple of days, whatever you've got planned.

If you're looking for something to do on Sunday, why not come and see the Combat2Coffee team at Clacton Carnival Sunday Funday? We'll be serving up plenty of great coffee, so pop by, say hello, and grab yourself a brew—we'd love to see you! ☕💙

Have a wonderful weekend, stay safe, and don't forget to make time for yourself. We look forward to seeing some of you on Sunday!

And remember... if you're struggling, you don't have to face it alone. Reaching out is a sign of strength. 💙

The Impact of Outreach ❤️

A Veteran contacted Combat2Coffee after being evicted from his home and was left sleeping in his car. Our outreach team were able to step in quickly and, working alongside the DWP and the Royal British Legion (RBL), secured emergency hotel accommodation to get him somewhere safe.
We're delighted to say he is now awaiting the allocation of a property, which should happen soon. It's wonderful to see him moving forward after such a difficult time, and it's a great example of what can be achieved when organisations work together to support those who have served.

If you're a veteran, serving member of the Armed Forces, a family member, or simply someone who is struggling, please don't suffer in silence. Whether you're facing a crisis, feeling overwhelmed, or just need someone to talk to, we're here to listen and help you find the support you need.

Reaching out for support is a sign of strength. Remember, you are never alone💙

This is bigger than an award. This is about the message.

Nigel Seaman has been shortlisted for the Inspiration Award at the Armed Forces Community Awards 2026, and your vote could help us spread a message that matters.

A message that it's okay to speak up.
A message that support is out there.
A message that no one should ever struggle alone.

If Combat2Coffee has inspired you, supported someone you know, or if you simply believe in what we're doing, please take a minute to vote.
Then, please share this post. Every share helps us reach someone new, spread our message further, and remind more people that they are never alone.

The voting link is in our bio or here: https://www.soldieringon.org/placeyourvote

Thank you for standing with us and helping us make every vote count. ❤️☕
