🎭🇨🇾✨ The journey of Timeless Cyprus continues across the UK ✨🇨🇾🎭

Now that the Timeless Cyprus exhibition has officially opened and audiences have begun experiencing the world of George Pol. Georghiou at the The Hellenic Centre, more Greek diaspora schools have been getting in touch to organise workshops for the next phase of the programme between September and December 2026 💙

We are especially excited:

📍 To travel for the first time to Leicester Greek School (Αγίου Νικολάου και Ξενοφώντος) on 26 September 🇬🇧✨

📍 To return to the wonderful The Hellenic School of St. Peter and Paul, Bristol in November for both workshops and community screenings 🎬🎭

📍 And to organise workshops at Greek Community School at St.Cyprian’s, continuing this growing cultural journey with new generations of the diaspora 🌍

Through movement, storytelling, creativity and theatre, children continue to discover Cyprus not simply as a place, but as memory, imagination, identity and shared experience.

Seeing second and third generation children connecting so deeply with the stories, landscapes and emotions found in Georghiou’s work has been one of the most moving parts of this entire journey 💫

If more schools would like us to organise workshops during the remaining available dates of 2026, please feel free to contact us so we can explore possibilities together.

The Timeless Cyprus workshops form part of the wider exhibition presented by the A. G. Leventis Gallery, in collaboration with the Cyprus High Commission in the UK, and with the support of the Deputy Ministry of Culture of Cyprus.

The initiative is presented within the official cultural programme of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU 2026 🇨🇾🇪🇺

✨ Culture travels.
✨ Memory connects generations.

What a beautiful and emotional weekend this has been. ❤️🇨🇾🇪🇺

From Cardiff to London, we were reminded once again how powerful culture can be in bringing people together, creating conversations, and strengthening community bonds across generations. ✨

In Cardiff, the joy, imagination, and energy of the children during the theatre education workshops with the gave us so much hope for the future. Through stories, creativity, movement, and participation, young people connected with Cyprus in such a genuine and heartfelt way. 🎭🧡

On Sunday afternoon, the community then came together for a full-house screening of SKAMMATA by Danae Stylianou — a moving documentary that opened space for reflection, discussion, memory, and shared emotion. It was wonderful to see Cypriots, Greeks, and friends of our communities all gathered together through cinema and conversation. 🎬

At the same time in London, audiences continued discovering George Pol. Georghiou – Timeless Cyprus through curated tours at . The exhibition is presented by the A. G. Leventis Gallery in collaboration with the High Commission of the Republic of Cyprus in the UK, with the support of the Deputy Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Cyprus, and hosted at the Hellenic Centre in London. 🖼️

This weekend was part of the official cultural programme of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2026 — but above all, it was about people. About community. About memory. About keeping stories alive and creating meaningful moments together. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who joined us in Cardiff and London this weekend. More journeys ahead. 🌍✨
