At Sentebale, we believe that young people deserve access to information, services and support make informed decisions about their health without judgement, stigma or discrimination.
As such, our team at Sentebale Bostwana, officially kicked off the Adolescents and Young People (AYP) Project this week in Botswana supported by the National AIDS & Health Promotion Agency and Mopipi International.
Through the AYP Project, we’re taking comprehensive HIV prevention and sexual and reproductive health (SRH) information to where young people are — in communities, schools, youth spaces, events and other places where young people connect.
So, what can young people expect from these services?
* HIV prevention information & services: Learning about PrEP & PEP and how they can help prevent HIV
* STI prevention & management
* Correct and consistent condom use and distribution
* Family planning information and services
* GBV prevention, response and referral support
* Human rights, stigma reduction and discrimination prevention
* Open conversations about health, rights and wellbeing
