What a lovely morning we had at our Baby Room Stay and Play session over at the Emmanuel🧸

It was wonderful to see our babies enjoying a variety of fun activities with their parents, exploring new experiences and sharing lots of smiles and laughter. 🎨🧸✨

We also shared a lovely breakfast with our parents and little ones, creating a wonderful opportunity to sit together, have a chat and enjoy each other’s company.

A big thank you to all the families who joined us this morning and helped make our session so special! It was lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves, and we look forward to welcoming you all again soon. 💗

🧼💦 Global Handwashing Day! 💦🧼

Our little learners had lots of fun celebrating Global Handwashing Day with a hands-on activity to explore how we wash away germs! 🦠✨

Using cinnamon to represent germs, the children enjoyed experimenting with washing the germs off their icy hands. They were so engaged and excited that many wanted to go back for another go! ❄️👐

Throughout the activity, we talked about why washing our hands is so important and how it helps to keep us healthy. Handwashing is part of our everyday nursery routine, and we love finding fun ways to help the children understand the importance of keeping their hands clean. 🧴🫧

A fantastic way to learn through play, explore new ideas and develop those important self-care skills! 💙👏

🦉🌳 Owl Babies Adventure! 🌳🦉
Our Pre School group have been enjoying the wonderful story Owl Babies and decided to take their learning outdoors! 📚💚

We headed to the park to explore nature and collect sticks to make our very own owl nests. 🌿🪵 The children loved searching for the perfect sticks, working together and talking about what owls might need to make a cosy home. We also went on a Conker Hunt to find some Conkers for our Baby Room Leader Danielle for her activities.

Back at nursery, we got creative and made our very own owls! 🎨🦉 There were lots of fantastic ideas, creativity and proud little faces as everyone brought their owls to life. We also washed the conkers and delivered them to the Baby room for Danielle and the team.

What a lovely way to combine stories, nature, imagination and hands-on learning! 💕🌳🦉

📚✨ Book & Rhyme Fun at Broughton Library! ✨📚

Today some of the children from Grecian Street visited Broughton Library for their lovely Book and Rhyme session, and the children had such a brilliant time. When we arrived, they enjoyed a little play before settling down for story time. We listened to “Aaargh! A Spider!” and sang “Five Little Men in a Flying Saucer” — the children loved pretending a spider was crawling on them and joined in with lots of giggles and actions.

On our walk there, we spotted so many exciting things around our community — buses, a street cleaner, an ambulance, and even some dogs having a run in the park. The children were full of chatter and curiosity all the way.

We had a wonderful morning exploring stories, singing rhymes, and enjoying everything the library has to offer. Thank you to Broughton Library for another fantastic session! 💛📖✨

🏴‍☠️⚓ Ahoy, me hearties! ⚓🏴‍☠️
We had a swashbuckling time celebrating Talk Like a Pirate Day at Tinytots 🏴‍☠️🦜

Our little pirates got stuck into lots of exciting activities, from treasure hunts and pirate adventures to singing, dancing and, of course, practising our best pirate voices! 🗺️💰

There were plenty of “Ahoy!”, “Shiver me timbers!” and “Arrr!” throughout the day! ☠️

A fantastic day full of fun, imagination, communication and learning through play. We think our little pirates deserve a big ARRR for their efforts! ⚓❤️

The sunshine room babies at Grecian Street have been settling in to the new term with lots of sensory play.
Sensory play is so important for babies development as it builds nerve connections in the brain to support their learning, language skills and physical development.

Sensory play stimulates babies senses:
👐 touch
👃 smell
👄 taste
👀 sight
👂 hearing

which all contribute towards a babies development. The key benefits include:

motor skills - young children learn to grasp, reach, pull, push, splash. These all help to develop fine and gross motor skills such as sitting, rolling and walking and as they get older writing skills.

language - listening to carers use descriptive language when exploring textures and sounds to support them to connect words to their experiences and help them build their vocabulary.

Sensory play also supports babies and young children to manage their emotions. Come and have a look at our beautiful baby room and see what fun your little one could have with us.
