Nomad Opening Doors We provide safe, secure and sustainable housing to people facing homelessness in Sheffield.

Nomad provides long term accommodation and wrap around support to people over the age of 18 who are experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness. We aim to provide high quality holistic support services and strive to give opportunities, support and motivation to clients, enabling them to achieve their goals and empower them in managing their own lives. Our approach has helped 1000s of people escape homelessness over the past 30 years.

This week it will be a Thursday appreciation post instead of a Friday one. Today I want to take a minute to appreciate the unsung heroes of all organisations that hold us all together.
Ours unsung hero is Kellie. She is our Income Services and Administration Officer and she makes sure that Gracie and Laura are on time with their inspections, she makes sure all our contractors are paid, she creates all of Karen's spreadsheets because Karen can't do them herself, she stops Steve from having to deal with utility providers (he doesn't have the patience for them) and she generally makes sure we are all ok and most importantly, Kellie recognises when a trip to the sandwich shop is needed to buy bacon sandwiches.........Thank you Kellie!

This is a Friday apprecation post for our hard working Nomad team.
This week they have housed 9 people! Every single member of the team plays a part in this process. That could be Mary carrying out the assessment, Chloe running the pre-tenancy workshop, Adam getting the references and arranging the viewing and Mo getting the tenancy agreement and other paperwork ready.

A very belated welcome to Gracie who is our new Lettings Negotiator for Clarity Lettings, Adam who is our Housing and Progression Officer for Four Trees Lettings and Chloe who is Nomad's Housing and Growth Officer.
Adam did a work experience placement with us when he was 14 and then volunteered every summer for the next 7 years.
Chloe was an admin apprentice with us when she was 18 and came back last year to volunteer with us.
Volunteering clearly works!
