A huge well done to Chris and Jenny who took part in the 100 Miles in May challenge, and thank you to Jane for presenting the donation on behalf of the team. It’s fantastic to see how small efforts and regular contributions can make a real difference.

Today we want to say a massive thank you to Last Mile Logistic Solutions. Members of their team recently took on the challenge to walk 100 miles in May, and Jane popped in on Wednesday to hand over the £240 raised.

Back in 2024 the company became our first monthly standing order sponsor, and this month they will have contributed £1000 in total since October 2024 on top of the above! Small monthly contributions really do add up and help ensure we can continue to offer our services free of charge to anyone in need. We are hugely grateful to Chris, Lisa, Jane and the whole team for their unwavering support.

Over the past few days, there have sadly been a number of water-related deaths across the UK.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected, and we know that posts like this may be seen by families, friends and communities who are grieving.

We are sharing this message with care, because a simple conversation could help save a life.

Please talk to your children, family and friends about what to do if someone gets into trouble in the water:

📞 PHONE
Call 999 immediately and tell them exactly where you are.

🛟 FLOAT
If you are in trouble in the water, fight the instinct to panic. Tilt your head back, keep your ears submerged, relax, spread your arms and legs, and try to control your breathing.

🎯 THROW
If someone else is in trouble, throw them something that floats. Do not go in after them.

The float message is especially important. It can buy vital time until help arrives.

Please share this advice today. It may reach someone who needs it one day.

Last Mile Logistic Solutions is proud to be supporting Tees River Rescue as our Charity of the Year.

As part of this partnership, the team is taking on a 100-mile walking challenge throughout the month to raise funds for this vital local charity. Their incredible work includes river patrols, volunteer training, and maintaining their lifesaving rescue boat.

Chris and Jenny are both taking part in the challenge, with Jenny joined by her sons Isaac and Jason, and we’re delighted to share their journey along the way.
