Can you help us share the books everyone wants to read this month? 📚

There’s high demand for our 10 most wanted titles, and many eager customers are waiting to borrow them. We’ve purchased as many copies as our budget allows, but if you’re able to help, we’d be truly grateful.

If you have a pristine copy, you’ve finished reading - whether it’s one you bought yourself or received as a gift - you can donate it at any library in Devon or Torbay. We’ll add it to our collection to help reduce the waiting list.

The wonderful Jasper Fforde will be here on Wednesday to give a talk and Q&A.
If you've not read his books, he describes them as "An odd mix of Fantasy, Crime and Sci-fi. There's romance, too, and literary stuff, and satire, and .. well, you name it."

Tickets are £3.50 for library members, £5 for non members. Please book in advance either via 01803 714452 or [email protected]

There will be refreshments available, but a reminder we do not currently have a public bathroom.

All proceeds go to the libraries which are run by Libraries Unlimited, a registered charity.

Pack your SPF for those summer holidays ahead. We have some Super Phenomenal Fiction ( highly approved and tested SPF*) at Torquay library for you. In the entrance you will find all kind of books to buy and for you to take on a plane, a train or just into your garden. Name your price for the books - all the donations help our charity.

They are usually held on the first Wednesday of each month - our next session will therefore be Wednesday 3rd June at 10am. Please contact the library for more information
