🎉 Celebrating 60 Years of Whitby Library 🎉

What an amazing day we have had celebrating 60 years of Whitby Library! (More pictures to follow! 📸)

It was wonderful to welcome so many people through our doors, including past staff, former volunteers, current staff, volunteers, community groups and library supporters. Seeing generations of people who have helped shape our library come together was truly inspiring.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, visited the community service stalls and listened to speeches from our Head of Libraries, Hazel, and Simon Myers, the Councillor responsible for Libraries and Housing. Your support helped make this milestone celebration so special.

Looking back on 60 years of service reminded us of the dedication, passion and community spirit of those who came before us. We are incredibly proud to follow in their footsteps and continue caring for this wonderful library for future generations.

Here's to our past, our present and our future. Thank you for being part of our story. ❤️
