We in Labour Intercultural absolutely condemn the recent knife attack on a man in North Belfast, which has left him in a coma and would like to extend our sympathies to the victims family and hope he makes a full recovery.

We acknowledged that people are upset and horrified by the brutal attack on the man, but we must condemn the actions of those on the far right, who are using the attack to stoke up hatred and violence against the migrant community in the area.

We would like to think that a reasonable dialogue can be had regarding the issues surrounding the attack, and that a viable solution to quelling such violence can be achieved.

We are in labour and cultural seek to see an inclusive Ireland free from all bigotry, racism and violence. One that is built on the foundations of liberty, equality, fraternity and fairness.

In light of the recent abduction of Irish citizens in international waters, including our Presidents Sister by Israeli defence forces, we are asking you to write to the Minister for Migration Jim O’Callaghan to ask him to make sure there is a proper screening process in place where the identification and exclusion of Israeli Defence Force members who could pose a threat to Irish citizens safety or security is in place.

To investigate and exclude any persons, who may have been involved in war crimes against humanity.

And for him to assure a public that proper measures are in place to uphold the safety of Irish citizens against such threats to our security.

Damien Corish Campaigns Coordinator of Labour Party Intercultural Executive, has wrote to the minister for migration Jim O’Callaghan to raise urgent questions regarding the protocols in place at Irish ports of entry, particularly concerning specifically Israeli citizens—who may be involved in, or complicit in, war crimes or crimes against humanity in the Occupied Palestinian Territories and Gaza.
This could lead towards a Public Safety issue where that the person’s presence could pose a threat to national security or public safety.

So now we have seen for the second time in a few weeks irish citizens being detained in international waters by the israeli defence forces including this time, Margaret Connolly, our president's sister.

Last week I wrote a letter to minister Jim 0’Callaghan calling on him to implement a screening process on possible war criminals entering our country.

This is to protect our citizens and our national security from members of an organisation who are participating in war crimes and genocide against innocent people. And whos leaders are wanted war criminals.

We have now seen firsthand how our citizens were treated by these forces, with some of them experiencing physical violence and worse.

I have asked hour parliamentary party to raise the issue of screening people coming here who may be possible threats and guilty of war crimes in the Dáil.

If raised, this would open a discussion on our national security and the protection of irish citizens against this genocidal regime.

We must remember that these are guilty of massacres, not only that, they have wiped out 2700 Palestinian family bloodlines from the civil registry with every single member of these families being killed and entirely erasing the names and lineage of these families.

Also 6000 Palestinian families have been left with only a single surviving member obliterating their generational history.

So we're calling for you to support the call for the enactment of the occupied territory's bill in full.

I'm also asking you to click on the link and put your name to the letter and send it to Jim O’Callaghan. We need maximum pressure at this stage here in ireland to prevent war criminals from entering our country and putting our lives at risk.
