A new chapter in DeepTech begins with i, an initiative of the Dept of E,IT&BT and S&T, GoK

With the launch of the INNOVERSE logo, the unveiling of the official website, and the introduction of its first programme, Innoverse marks the beginning of a collaborative platform designed to accelerate Karnataka's deeptech ecosystem.

Bringing together startups, academia, industry and government, the initiative will support breakthrough innovation across artificial intelligence, semiconductors, aerospace, robotics, advanced manufacturing and other frontier technologies, strengthening Karnataka's position as a global DeepTech hub.

The Dept of E,IT&BT and S&T, GoK Government of Karnataka, met with the team from ElevenLabs to explore how advanced speech, voice and conversational AI technologies can support better public service delivery.

The discussion focused on leveraging multilingual AI capabilities to simplify citizen interactions with Government, improve accessibility and address operational bottlenecks across governance.

As Karnataka continues to lead India's innovation ecosystem, collaborations with global technology leaders are helping shape practical AI solutions that deliver meaningful public impact and strengthen digital governance.

Dr. N. Manjula, Secretary, Dept of E,IT&BT and S&T, GoK, Government of Karnataka, highlighted at the CEO Breakfast Meet ahead of Bengaluru Tech Summit that Karnataka's technology leadership is built on vision, innovation, and a strong ecosystem.

Contributing nearly 40% of India's technology exports, home to over 23,000 startups and more than one-third of the country's Global Capability Centres (GCCs), the state continues to lead through forward looking policies in AI, quantum technologies, and space technology. This vision will take Centre stage at Bengaluru Tech Summit 2026, themed "AI and Beyond," bringing together global leaders to shape the future of technology.

Karnataka Startup Cell (KITS), Dept. of ITBT, GoK and FICCI FLO have signed an MoU to strengthen the state's women entrepreneurship ecosystem.

The partnership will:
→ Connect women-led startups to the ELEVATE grant programme
→ Provide mentorship, market access and capacity-building support
→ Hand-hold women entrepreneurs toward land allocation at Gowribidanur KIADB Industrial Area, where 50 acres has been earmarked for women-led enterprises
→ Strengthen networks for manufacturing and technology-based businesses
→ Bring FICCI FLO into Bengaluru Tech Summit and other flagship ITBT GoK events

Karnataka and Chile strengthen innovation connect through the Global Innovation Alliance

The Department of Electronics, Information Technology & Biotechnology, Government of Karnataka, in collaboration with ProChile, successfully conducted the Global Innovation Alliance – Karnataka × ProChile Webinar on 29 July 2026.

The webinar showcased Karnataka’s vibrant technology and innovation ecosystem, with focused presentations on the State’s startup landscape, Bengaluru Tech Summit 2026, the higher education and research ecosystem at IIIT Dharwad, Karnataka’s semiconductor capabilities through SFAL Centre of Excellence, and Karnataka’s fintech regulatory environment. The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment, enabling meaningful exchange and dialogue between stakeholders.

The session witnessed participation from key Chilean stakeholders, including Endeavour Chile, Startup Chile, CORFO and members of the PGX Asia cohort - Valuelist, Easec and Qscire, contributing to meaningful discussions on potential avenues for collaboration between Karnataka and Chile.

The engagement marked another step towards strengthening Karnataka–Chile collaboration and exploring opportunities across startups, technology, academia, investment, semiconductors, fintech, and other emerging sectors.
