Preserving heritage. Keeping traditions alive.
The Ministry of Minority Affairs has today entered into an MoU with the Archaeological Survey of India and Key Gompa (Key Monastery), Spiti Valley, Himachal Pradesh, for the restoration and conservation of Key Gompa and the preservation of its heritage.
The Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) of PM VIKAS focuses on preserving and propagating the rich cultural heritage of minority communities, including traditional arts, crafts and cultural practices. Through documentation, preservation, cultural exchanges and other community-oriented initiatives, the component seeks to ensure that India’s diverse cultural traditions remain visible and continue to thrive.
Another milestone in the Ministry’s commitment to preserving India’s rich cultural heritage and ensuring that traditional practices continue to thrive.
