Career Fair Week – *Day 2 (Tuesday, 21 July 2026)*

Grades 3–4 | Theme: *When I Grow Up, I Want to Be*…

Today, our Grade 3 and 4 learners will explore their future aspirations by thinking about the careers they would like to pursue. Through drawing and writing activities, they will reflect on their interests, talents, and the reasons behind their career choices. This activity encourages creativity, self-expression, and goal setting while helping learners understand that every dream begins with believing in themselves.

Today marks the exciting start of our Career Fair Week! Our youngest learners will explore a variety of careers through fun colouring activities and discussions about what different professionals do. The aim is to inspire them to dream big, discover their interests, and understand that with hard work and determination, they can become anything they aspire to be.

The City of Windhoek officially handed over winter school jerseys to more than 500 learners from 39 schools in and around Windhoek on Tuesday, 30 June 2026, at the City of Windhoek Council Chambers.
The handover forms part of the 2026 Mayoral Winter Drive Initiative, led by the Office of the Mayor in partnership with the Windhoek Residents Mayoral Trust, to help keep vulnerable learners warm during the winter season. Since its inception, the initiative has benefited more than 2,000 learners across the city.
