Making a Splash: A Huge Thank You to Our PTA and School Community!
We are thrilled to share that our dream of building a new 20-metre swimming pool is officially becoming a reality! This incredible project has been years in the making, and we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to our hardworking Board of Trustees, PTA and our entire school community. From purchasing raffle tickets and attending fundraisers to offering your time, and energy, your dedication has brought this project over the finish line. We are hopeful it will be completed by the start of term 4.
Living in an island nation with wetlands, rivers, and beaches right on our doorstep, water safety is not just an extra skill, it is an absolute necessity. With national drowning statistics remaining heartbreakingly high and fewer children reaching basic swimming milestones, ensuring our students can safely swim 50 metres is a top priority. Our goal is to give every single child in our school the skills and confidence they need to enjoy our coastal environment safely.
We will be offering lessons soon when we are more sure of timeframes. Together, we are building a legacy that will keep our kids safe, teach lifelong skills, and maybe even train a future Olympic champion.
Unfortunately, at this stage we do not have the funds to build new changing room or toilet facilities. For this reason there will be no keys offered or community access.
