| PARLIAMENTARY INQUIRY DAMNING OF FENZ’S BOARD AND SENIOR MANAGEMENT

🔴 FENZ not believed on key points
🔴 Report calls for action on emergency response capability and capacity
🔴 Board membership and senior leadership could be on the chopping block

FENZ’s Board and Senior Management are heavily criticised in the Parliamentary Report into the Management of FENZ’s fleet. It records a lack of confidence in the membership of the Board and goes as far as recommending that the Government considers whether FENZ should even have the power to procure fleet and other services without formal oversight and intervention.

25 years ago today!
Hundreds of firefighters enter the World Trade Center buildings to try and save lives and property.
343 firefighters would not make it home.
Over 3000 civilians were killed.
The mental and health effects remain today.

Around 1230 today Dunedin Fire Brigade NZ were called to a building fire on Stuart St.
Arriving in around 3 minutes firefighters quickly entered the building with breathing apparatus and extinguished a fast developing fire.
These quick actions saved a building which has stood in Dunedin for many decades and also several businesses located in this building.
Our thoughts go to all those affected.
