The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC/Commission), in partnership with MYEG Philippines, Inc. (MYEG PH), announces the rollout of MYEG PH as an additional payment service provider and the initial implementation of the Constructive Affixture of Documentary Stamp Tax (CDST) for selected PRC transactions.
Under the initial implementation, CDST will be available for the following services:

• Application for Licensure Examination
•Initial Registration
• Request for Certification and Authentication

The implementation of CDST eliminates the need for clients to separately purchase and physically affix documentary stamps for covered transactions, making PRC services simpler, faster, and more convenient.

This initiative forms part of the Commission’s continuing digital transformation and commitment to the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery, through streamlined documentary requirements, reduced administrative steps, and more accessible government services.

Through this partnership, PRC continues to adopt secure and efficient digital solutions that enhance the overall experience of professionals, examinees, and other stakeholders transacting with the Commission.

Online Oathtaking of the New Speech-Language Pathologists

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) informs the new Speech-Language Pathologists that the conduct of the online mass oathtaking will be on August 14, 2026, at 1:00 P.M., which will be spearheaded by PRC Lucena Regional Office via Microsoft Teams or Zoom.

Inductees shall wear formal or business attire and use a white backdrop (white physical or virtual background) throughout the oathtaking ceremony.

The Professional Regulation Commission-Cordillera Administrative Region (PRC-CAR) has secured the conviction of two (2) individuals in separate criminal cases involving falsification of documents and the unauthorized practice of a regulated profession, marking another milestone in the Commission’s intensified campaign against professional fraud, illegal practice, and fixers.

In the first case, the accused pleaded guilty and was found liable for falsification of documents and for misrepresentation as a licensed physician, in violation of Republic Act No. 2382, otherwise known as the Medical Act of 1959. The case stemmed from an attempt by the individual to renew a fraudulent Professional Identification Card at the PRC-CAR office. Following verification and the issuance of a formal show-cause order, the Commission pursued the filing of criminal charges.

In March 2026, the court found the accused guilty and sentenced her to four (4) months of imprisonment for falsification of documents. She was likewise ordered to pay a ₱10,000.00 fine, with subsidiary imprisonment in case of insolvency, for violation of Section 28, Article IV of the law.

In the second case, another individual pleaded guilty to violating Section 32(f), in relation to Section 5, of Republic Act No. 8050, for practicing the optometry profession without the required license. The individual was apprehended during an inspection and monitoring activity conducted by the PRC Board of Optometry, in coordination with PRC-CAR. In July 2026, the court found the accused guilty and ordered the payment of ₱10,000.00 fine.

With these latest rulings, PRC-CAR’s legal track record now stands at 52 successful criminal convictions involving 30 accused individuals since 2012. This milestone underscores the Commission’s sustained and resolute efforts to enforce professional regulatory laws and safeguard the public from fraudulent, deceptive, and unauthorized professional activities.

These convictions send a clear message: misrepresenting oneself as a licensed professional, falsifying official documents, practicing a regulated profession without the required license, or facilitating transactions through unauthorized means will not be tolerated.
PRC-CAR likewise reminds the public to transact only through legitimate and established PRC procedures and to be vigilant against individuals who offer to facilitate licensure examination, professional registration, renewal, or other Commission transactions for a fee through unauthorized channels.

These enforcement actions reinforce PRC-CAR’s commitment to ensuring that only duly qualified and licensed individuals are permitted to practice regulated professions, while protecting the public from individuals who undermine the integrity of professional regulation.

PRC-CAR remains steadfast in its mandate to uphold the integrity of the professions, enforce professional regulatory laws, combat illegal practice and fixing, and protect the public interest through transparent, accountable, and lawful public service.
